Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
Here is my version of the new T-70 X-Wing Starfighter from the new Star Wars - Episode 7, "The Force Awakens." It took me a little while to get used to the new shorter nose, and the funky wings that are distinguishing features of this design, but I'm pretty well in love with it now. I'm sure my model isn't 100% accurate, but it's pretty darned close, based on a couple of different reference sources. For the paint-scheme, I decided to combine the blue stripes from the "white" version with the dark hull of the "black" version. I think I like it better than either of the two paint jobs that inspired it. Since I'm a big fan of all things Mandalorian, I decided to add a Mandalorian logo to the rear section, just for fun. We'll call this Mandalorian version, the T-70M, manufactured for Mandalorian forces that are friendly to the Rebellion. (Even if the Mandalorians turn out to be allied with the Empire, there are always battling factions within the Mandalorians, right?) Anyway, that T-70M designation will also serve to explain any other minor differences that might exist between my version and the official Rebel design.
With this dark paint-job, the X-Wing really disappears against a black starscape, so I posed it over a blue nebula so that you can see it. There seems to be room for a BB-8 sized droid in the Back of the new T-70, but I'm not sure if the new model has room for the much larger R2-sized astromech that was in the original T-65 X-Wing. In any event, my T-70M version does have room for an R2 in the back. You may recognize him as the same R2-V2 droid that appears in some of my other images. If time permits, I may post a few more images from different views. Enjoy.
