Space Ghost's Phantom Cruiser Schematics

Description

I grew up watching Space Ghost, and I always loved Space Ghost and his ship, the fabled "Phantom Cruiser."  This ship looked great, and it had everything!  It could fire every beam weapon you could think of:  Power Beams, Force Beams, Tractor Beams, Freeze Rays, Heat Rays, . . . you name it.  It was way ahead of its time, in terms of Sci-fi space ships.  It had defensive energy shields.  It had an FTL capability, (I think they called it "Hyper-speed.")  It even had a cloaking device, (which they called "Inviso-Power.")  Well, maybe some of the terminology was a bit juvenile, but as a kid, I just ate it up.  You just had to love the Phantom Cruiser.  The design of the Phantom Cruiser changed and evolved a bit over the years, but I decided to build the classic original design.  Since they usually only showed the Phantom Cruiser from one or two different angles, there wasn't a lot of reference material to use in putting this model together.  But I did my best to be faithful to the original design.  The basic design (vaguely reminiscent of a falcon) is wonderfully sleek, and has tons of attitude.  I only took one real liberty with the design.  The original design really seems to have paper-thin wings, and lacks any kind of engine exhaust, so I thickened the wing root a bit to add a subtle exhaust slots to the back of the wings.  There is a similar slot at the front of the wing roots.  This might be an intake, a reverse exhaust port, or a navigational deflector.  Normally, I wouldn't be a fan of a painting a ship yellow and orange, but this design really popped off of the bright blue spacescapes that they featured in the colorful galaxy that Hanna-Barbera had created for Space Ghost.

hello

Do you have a 3D file for this model?

I would love to print in resin on my 3D printer!

Thanks
